Daring Diagraphs
The Daring Digraphs Game supports learners as they move beyond single-letter sounds and begin decoding more complex sound patterns in words. Designed especially for early and struggling readers, this game helps children recognise, practise, and apply common digraphs and sound combinations in a structured yet engaging way.
By matching pictures to words and focusing on targeted sounds, learners practise decoding without pressure, allowing reading skills to develop naturally through play.
The game forms part of a systematic reading pathway and is grounded in the Science of Reading. It strengthens phonemic awareness, sound–symbol knowledge, decoding accuracy, and reading confidence, helping learners transition smoothly from early phonics to more fluent word reading.
